For the dogs to have enough energy coming into the nerve-wracking race with appealing prizes, feeding them is extremely important. If you don't want to buy food with high prices from other players, you should invest in and own the stock of the food factory. It gives you sufficient food every day for your dogs and has leftovers for marketplace deals.
After the factory expires, most of the invested money will be returned to the players to keep investing in the next phase.
